Groups Sales & Events Manager
Job Introduction

We are now looking for a Group Sales & Events Manager to drive group sales and manage key partner relationships. This role sits within our Sport, Leisure and Travel segment of Sodexo which covers all areas from corporate catering in the staff restaurant to fine dining at Royal Ascot; we cover every facet of food excellence operating award winning restaurants and providing hospitality throughout the UK, endeavoring to bring the dining experience to life.
Role Responsibility
- Manage performance and development of the Group Sales & Events Department to deliver yearly sales targets
- Identify and target new business opportunities and develop new client partnerships
- In conjunction with the Director of Sales execute the sales activity planner for FY16
- Account Manage key clients across Bateaux London portfolio and support business development within the wider Sodexo Prestige Sports & Leisure segment
- Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed proposals, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
- Provide timely and accurate sales and activity reporting
- Assist the Director of Sales in driving private dining and charter product development through package design
- Oversee all event co-ordination
- Attend trade shows and networking trade events to generate new business and establish new partnerships
- Conduct site visits / show rounds for existing and new clients
- Conduct FAM trips to showcase products to new and existing clients
- Drive individual event revenues through effective up selling
- Effectively manage departmental employee relations
- Conduct sales presentations as required to potential clients - this may be at self-generated face to face meetings on or off site
- Entertain Corporate clients as necessary to drive awareness to Private Dining Rooms on Harmony and Symphony.
The Ideal Candidate
- Demonstrate proven sales experience within the events and hospitality industry.
- Ability to exceed targets through developing new business
- Proven background in building new client partnerships whilst developing existing accounts.
- Confident to deliver presentations
- Previous experience of managing a team
