Group Area Manager

We’re on the lookout for a driven and inspiring Group Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of school sites in the Hereford area. Sodexo and our clients are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults within a regulated activity. This role will require applicants to undergo screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and/ or Disclosure Scotland. 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and support multiple catering teams across a group of school sites.

  • Ensure high standards of food quality, service, and compliance (health, safety, food safety, allergen legislation).

  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships at every site.

  • Drive financial performance — managing budgets, labour, and stock.

  • Support site managers with recruitment, training, performance, and development.

  • Deliver consistently strong Safeguard audit results and uphold Sodexo’s compliance standards.

  • Identify growth opportunities and promote Sodexo initiatives to increase uptake.

  • Provide cover where required and support new contract mobilisations.

What you bring:

  • Experience managing multi-site operations.

  • Proven skills in recruiting, developing, and leading teams.

  • High standards of food production and service delivery.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels in a professional and approachable way.

  • Experience working in a compliance-driven environment.

  • Relevant qualifications.
