Group Area Manager

We’re on the lookout for a driven and inspiring Group Area Manager to oversee multiple school sites in the Hereford area. This is a fantastic opportunity to step up in your leadership journey, guiding catering teams to deliver fresh, nutritious food and outstanding service every single day.

Sodexo and our clients are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults within a regulated activity. This role will require applicants to undergo screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and/ or Disclosure Scotland. 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and support multiple catering teams across a group of school sites.
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, service, and compliance (health, safety, food safety, and allergen legislation).
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships at each site.
  • Drive financial performance — managing budgets, labour, and stock.
  • Support site managers with recruitment, training, performance, and development.
  • Deliver consistently strong Safeguard audit results and uphold Sodexo’s compliance standards.
  • Identify growth opportunities and promote Sodexo initiatives to increase uptake.
  • Cover sites where required and support new contract mobilisations.

What you bring:

  • Experience in managing multi-site business
  • Experience of recruiting, inducting and developing teams and managing within a set framework
  • High standards of food production and service delivery
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in an appropriate manner
  • Experience of working in a standards/compliance environment
  • Relevant qualifications
