Global Product Owner

Job Introduction

Our Global Supply Management team is embarking on a major Digital Data and system transformation programme, and we are looking for a Global Product Owner to play a key role in managing the delivery of these products and world class digital solutions. You’ll own and take accountability for the delivery and regional builds of our new ‘product swap’ tool, a global program that leverages all activity across the wider Supply Management transformation, and encompasses live use of AI technology. You’ll be the conduit between the regional Supply Management SME’s and our Global IS&T deliver team and 3rd party consultants ensuring the build meets key delivery milestones while remaining as a value-add product fit for purpose. Your first build and deployment will be in the UK&I region, you’ll need to document the build and deployment to ensure it can be scaled for delivery in our other regions.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong stakeholder management, engagement and influence with the ability to challenge with humility. You’ll be brought up to speed and expected to take accountability quickly to drive the build forward. Your ability to work autonomously, learn ‘on the job’, challenge and constantly confirm the build will add value and enable teams is crucial to your success. If you also have an interest in AI technology and machine learning, then this is the role for you.

Role Responsibility

  • Lead the regional Delivery Team assigned to the Product and support the technical Project Manager with timely decisions and guidance on questions stemming from the deliver activity
  • Prioritize the regional workplan for each release working with the delivery team to ensure the coherence of the projects within the Workstream, and working  sprint process
  • Own the change management approach within the region, align with the rest of the team to bring a consistent and smooth approach to local teams
  • Secure value delivery and reporting of it, from deployment of the products. Work closely with other product owner to leverage a common methodology and manage dependencies
  • Lead the regional input to the global definition of the proposed Product solution (e.g., functionalities, processes, etc.) by supporting the development of the product vision

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of agile methodology and Product Owner role 
  • Experience in managing digital product and data  
  • Previous project management experience and a track record of successfully delivering and deploying products to SME users
  • A process driven orientation and experience of working with cross functional teams and with global stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and foster collaboration
