General Services Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting a General Services Manager to manage the onsite contract and daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery on site at a large, prestigious office based in Salford.

You will manage a team delivering multiple services on site such as cleaning, front of house reception, vending and waste management. The successful candidate will therefore have a strong understanding and knowledge of cleaning services with a strong overview of all other services delivered within the contract.

As a passionate customer focused professional you will ensure our client's expectations are fully met, build effective working relationships and as a leader, you will ensure your team are motivated, engaged and getting the most from their roles.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Lead and develop a team to deliver operational excellence across all Sodexo services
  • Manage all services offered within the Contract, maximizing the profitability of the contract
  • Maintain excellent client/customer relationships, ensuring the efficient and compliant delivery of services on site
  • Ensure standards of services detailed in the service level agreement and contractual terms and conditions are achieved, maintained and developed
  • Monitor all cleaning and hygiene standards, ensuring that they are maintained to the highest level
  • Ensure the highest levels of Health and Safety are achieved across the site
  • Adhere to any local client site rules and regulations
  • Comply with all Sodexo Company policies/procedures and client site rules and regulations

The Ideal Candidate

           Essential

  • Proven management of soft FM services (specifically cleaning, vending and waste management)
  • Previous experience managing and leading a team
  • Effective client/stakeholder management
  • Proven leadership skills and people management experience 
  • Good numerical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Management knowledge of health & safety
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to standards
  • Previous Budget responsibility - P&L
  • Health and Safety qualification equivalent to IOSH managing safely

    Desirable
     
  • Previous experience in effectively managing in a similar contract / service provider role, ideally within Government contract
  • Food safety qualification equivalent to CIEH level 3 is not a must, but is desirable
