General Services Manager

Job Introduction

As a General Services Manager at Sodexo, Johnson & Johnson Depuy in Ringaskiddy, Cork, you will play a crucial role in managing and developing service lines, including catering, cleaning, security, and more, to drive service excellence and ensure customer satisfaction. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage subcontractors, ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and support the development of business strategy in line with client needs.
What you’ll do:
  • Manage and develop service lines across sites, driving service excellence and ensuring compliance with client contract requirements.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and implement new initiatives within operations to demonstrate forward-moving business innovations.
  • Lead the management and application of Sodexo, Johnson & Johnson, and Vested Contract processes, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and processes, monitoring and escalating any non-compliance or weaknesses.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of site finances and implement new innovations as required.
  • Provide support to team leads to ensure work is carried out to standards, policies, and procedures, and manage staff issues as needed.
  • Identify and make recommendations for continuous operational improvement, contributing to business growth opportunities.
What you bring:
  • Proven experience in managing large sites with multidisciplined teams.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to develop commercially viable solutions based on rigorous techniques to understand client and contractual needs.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple workloads and shifting priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and employees at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative within a team environment.
  • Proven track record of initiating and leading demanding business change programs.
  • Desirable: Experience in managing P&L accounts, facilities, engineering, technical, or business qualification, experience in a pharmaceutical industry or large Blue Chip company.
