General Services Manager

Job Introduction

As a General Services Manager at Sodexo in Tutbury, Derby, you are a dedicated leader, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, customer satisfaction, and contract retention. Join Sodexo and be part of something greater, where you can act with purpose and thrive in your own way.

What you’ll do:
  • Oversee an IFM contract to a high standard in line with the SLA.
  • Act as a point of contact for department heads.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive service excellence throughout the onsite teams.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction and maintain a good working relationship with client representatives.
  • Manage site security, ensuring compliance with Sodexo and Nestle procedures.
  • Review financial performance and implement adjustments to ensure margins are maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, food safety, and legislative requirements.
  • Coordinate and direct all activities within the assigned area.
  • Manage and control services to agreed specifications and targets.
  • Recruit, induct, and develop talented employees while actively managing poor performance.
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth and new business.
  • Drive continuous improvement through all accounts.
What you bring:
  • Proven experience in developing profitable relationships for multisite contracts.
  • Knowledge and experience in Facility Management is highly desirable.
  • Experience in leading company initiatives and change management processes.
  • Experience in identifying and selling new business.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent client relationship management.
  • Experience working in a regulatory and compliant environment.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated programs.
  • H&S Qualification – IOSH Food Safety Level 3.
  • Desirable – Qualified to degree level or equivalent and hold a minimum level 4 IFM qualification.
