General Manager (Hotel Manager)

Job Introduction

This is an exceptional opportunity to enhance your career in hotel management.  We require an experienced General Manager to lead the operation for a deluxe100 bed hotel situated in the stunning grounds of a university campus.

Role Responsibility

  • Responsible for the overall operational efficiency of the hotel, including deluxe accommodation, restaurant and banqueting, conferencing and events, a café/bar, front of house, maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Manage a workforce of 75 across all service areas ensuring that we deliver a first class service to our customer
  • Focus on service improvement and innovation in service delivery
  • Monitor financial performance on a weekly basis to ensure that margins are achieved.  Be fully conversant with actual performance to ensure that any variances can be justified and explained
  • Maximise profitability of the contract and identify opportunities
  • Ensure that a Five Star customer service is delivered at all times – in the quality of food and customer service.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven background as a Hotel Manager or senior operator within a hotel environment, focused on the delivery of a first class customer service
  • Strong knowledge of food & beverage services, conferencing and hospitality
  • Financially astute and commercially focussed
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for high end food and customer service
  • First class communication skills are essential with ability to liaise with senior figures in the client organisation
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver innovative ideas surrounding service delivery
