We put our dedication to fabulous food in the spotlight to showcase what our talented team can do, and we are looking for General Kitchen Assistant at Yarm School to join us.

You’ll make sure that our students feel like they are at home by preparing and serving fresh, delicious, home cooked meals through the day! You’ll be a vital part of our amazing team and you will ensure that our kitchen and service area’s are always kept glistening!

A few things about you

Your communication skills need to be strong, and your attention to detail second to none! You’ll need the ability to work well under pressure!

With a focus on customer service, you’ll put our students at the heart of everything you do, always ensuring to deliver an excellent service! Being a team player is also key, after all there is no ‘I’ in team.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never worked as a General Kitchen Assistant before, what does matter to us, is taking pride in what you do. A willingness to learn and develop new skills is a bonus too!

Package Description

  • Independents by Sodexo are looking to appoint a General Catering Assistant to assist in the preparation and cooking of innovative food at Yarm school. This is an exciting and opportunity to assist in the daily service where we serve health delicious lunches for the pupils, staff and guests.
  • This is a permanent position. Working mainly term time but flexibility to support events is essential
  • £9.50 per hour
  • Term Time. 
  • Monday to Friday 9.00 - 3.00pm
  • Employment to start  26th August, 2022
