Job Introduction
Four Acres is a unique site within our portfolio located in a private estate just outside Kingston Upon Thames. Set in beautiful grounds this tranquil venue offers the perfect facilities for its residential meeting and training programmes
Role Responsibility
- Assist with the upkeep of all lawn areas, trees, shrubs, and woodland to high standards, including the planning and implementation of seasonal treatments.
- Mowing of lawns
- Cutting & pruning of hedges and bushes
- Watering grounds as required
- Leaf blowing of pathway, driveway, and carparks
- Responsible for maintaining and servicing of machinery and tools
- Ensure all tools are cleaned and stored after use
- Never leave tools unattended
- Upkeep of garden furniture
- Keep site clear of rubbish and litter
- Clean bin area weekly
- To minimise operational costs by using all equipment and products as directed and manufacturing instruction.
- Dispose of waste following the recycling procedures
- To ensure that each store area serving your allocated work area is kept clean, tidy, and secure at all times.
- Ensure that COSHH regulations are always followed.
- Wear PPE provided
- To portray a professional image at all times dealing with visitor’s requirements in a warm welcoming and effective manner.
- To carry out routine safety checks in accordance with the Service Level Specification
- To communicate regularly with the Manager
- To report any maintenance requirements, you may discover during your working day
- To take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of guests, property, and the building.
- To carry out any other reasonable request as directed by the Manager or Senior Management.
- Assist with pond maintenance..
- Ensuring that all mechanical equipment is correctly fuelled, maintained and kept in proper working order.
- Cleaning of paved areas.
- Follow safety policies and procedures on site.
- Assist with landscape works and development as directed.
- To have an up-to-date knowledge of the safe use of range of motorised equipment such as mowers, strimmer’s, hedge cutters, blowers, rotovators, including their maintenance and adjustments.
- To ensure all equipment and machinery in your charge are secured during working hours.
- To undertake such training as required to
- a) maintain a suitable skill set,
- b) develop additional skills to assist in higher level activities as required.
- To be responsible for one’s individual health and safety and that of colleagues, residents and passers-by within your responsibility or affected by your work.
- To remove litter and rubbish trapped in shrubs and hedges following the trimming of these.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Punctual
- Ability to use own initiative.
- High standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
- Flexible, can do approach to work.
- Willingness to learn.
Desirable
- Horticultural qualification
- FEPA PA1 & PA6aw (pesticides)
- Tractor Driving
- Strimming & Brush cutting
- Using a Hedge Trimmer
- Good communication skills
- Good command of English
