GSA Sourcing Procurement Lead

Job Introduction

As a Sourcing Procurement Lead, you'll identify opportunities and deliver procurement value for Microsoft Client, including delivery of Projects across subcontracted service lines in scope of Sodexo contract today & potential future services growth. You'll cope will include Projects and third-party suppliers delivering services, equipment and supplies across multiple countries.

To be successful in this role, you'll work with Microsoft stakeholders, global and country Supply Management teams to scope, and manage procurement for successful value delivery. You'll develop account level sourcing/procurement plan or specific category strategies that align with Microsoft GWS (Global Workplaces Services) and Procurement and Sodexo wider supply chain strategy. You'll work closely with client procurement teams to develop and execute programs on value, efficiencies, and effectiveness with a significant focus on supplier diversity programs.

Role Responsibility

  • Source, select, onboard, contract, and manage Providers within the assigned portfolio in line with Sodexo policies and procedures utilizing Sodexo’s preferred supplies.
  • Undertake competitive bid process consistent with Sodexo and Microsoft Procurement guidelines. Obtain advanced approval from Microsoft GWS and Procurement to negotiate contracts when and if applicable.
  • Manage RFP process in line with Sodexo processes and make recommendations for selection/award to GWS and Procurement.
  • Annually develop and maintain a rolling two-year sourcing, savings, and enhancement plan.
  • Purchase materials and other services upon GWS request in line with the requirements of the Microsoft contract and Sodexo’s procurement policies and procedures. 
  • Manage the changes accordingly for the services and service levels to meet any GWS budget constraints.
  • Implement and mange Supplier Performance Management matrix’s, providing reporting and improvement plans where appropriate.
  • Work with the client to develop key supplier value and diversity programs, putting in place an effective level of governance to track, monitor and report on progress.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree with CIPS / ISM or equivalent qualification
  • Procurement experience of >5 years acquired within or outside of Sodexo group
  • Managing and driving supplier performance improvements and ensuring service performance
  • Managing supplier relationships at Senior Executive level
  • Proven track record of delivering value and complex supplier negotiations
  • International experience desirable and prior responsibility working in a multi-cultural and matrix environment essential
  • Strong influencer
  • Financial acumen and results orientated
  • Project management skills
  • Process driven orientation and experience of working with cross functional teams and global stakeholders
