Front of House Supervisor

Job Introduction

37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday with some weekend cover, 10am–6pm
£13.21 per hour

Job Description:
Are you a people person with a passion for great service? Sodexo is looking for a dedicated Front of House Supervisor to join our team at Denison Barracks, Hermitage (RG18 9TP). In this customer-facing role, you’ll lead front-of-house operations across our bar and food outlets, ensuring a warm, professional experience for our Armed Forces personnel. What you’ll do:
• Lead by example—ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, to a high standard, and with a positive team atmosphere.
• Maintain excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards across all front-of-house areas.
• Work closely with catering management and chefs to keep service running smoothly.
• Promote strong health and safety practices—identifying and reporting any potential hazards.
• Conduct regular safety walks to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.
• Hold weekly team huddles to communicate updates, goals, and successes.
• Support and guide your team through ongoing feedback, coaching, and encouragement.

What you bring:
• Experience in a similar role, ideally with catering or food service knowledge and some supervisory experience.
• Hospitality background (bar, hotel, restaurant) is highly beneficial.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Confidence in leading, motivating, and supporting a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond well to change.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with senior leaders.
