Job Introduction

Hopetoun House are currently looking for Food and Beverage Staff to join their team. It is one of Scotland’s finest Stately Homes and is managed by the Hopetoun House Preservation Trust. Hopetoun currently welcomes around 50,000 visitors per year and is graded as a 5 Star attraction by Visit Scotland. 

We are looking for :

  • Barista
  • Front of House / Back of House Staff

  • Meals on duty for 6 plus hours shift

Rate of Pay: £10.42 plus depending on experience with view to paying more on review after 3 months

Working Hours: Monday- Wednesday - Friday - Saturday - Sunday, Closed  every Tuesday. Some Wednesdays and Saturdays due to events. Shifts will be from 8am to 5.30pm.

Role Responsibility

  • Preparing coffees and serving customers with a smile
  • Serving food from hot food/deli counter
  • To deliver and maintain highest standards of customer service in the café bar.
  • To produce & serve all drinks to brand standards & recipes.
  • To assist/complete routine stock counting, stock take, layouts, restocking and promotion set up.
  • To rotate all stock and ensure that no out of date stock is on shelves.
  • To clean equipment, shelving, refrigeration, and counters as needed to ensure that the café is maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness at all times.
  • To be able to work as a member of a team or on own initiative as working hours dictate

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working as a barista in a café environment
  • Previous experience as a front of house/ back of house staff
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliable 
  • Positive work attitude

Own transport is essential as the site is not supported by public transport or must live local.
