Sodexo is seeking a dynamic Food Services Manager to spearhead our catering and vending services located in Carlisle. In this role, you'll oversee the delivery of Catering and Vending services, ensuring strict adherence to company standards and unwavering client satisfaction. Managing dual site operations will be your forte, ensuring seamless service delivery across both main and satellite locations. Diligently ensuring compliance with dietary requirements and allergen controls will be paramount, always maintaining impeccable standards of food safety.

 

Financial stewardship will fall under your purview as you meticulously monitor and control financial performance, driving the unit towards achieving pre-budgeted targets. Guiding and training staff will be central to your role, as you cultivate a culture of excellence and ensure compliance with company policies among your team. Your responsibilities will extend to overseeing a vast vending operation, which includes managing cash handling and banking processes with precision.

 

Upholding cleanliness and hygiene standards across the unit will be a non-negotiable priority, ensuring strict compliance with Sodexo's rigorous food safety policies. Managing inventory and purchasing through Sodexo's approved suppliers will be key, as you strive to maintain a delicate balance between cost-effectiveness and uncompromising quality. Flexibility will be essential as you coordinate hospitality catering as required, potentially outside normal working hours, to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

About You   

Experience and knowledge requirement for this role:  

 

  • Holds an NVQ chef qualification or equivalent, coupled with significant experience in catering management.
  • Demonstrated track record in managing teams and budgets, including delivering training following company guidelines.
  • Proficient in IT and possesses numerical aptitude, showcasing excellent financial acumen.
  • Exhibits exceptional leadership, motivation, communication, coaching, and training skills.
  • Capable of working effectively under pressure, with strong interpersonal skills to communicate across all levels.
  • Adopts a flexible approach to work, displaying self-motivation and initiative.
