Food Service Supervisor

Job Advert: Food Services Supervisor 

Location: York-YO318TA

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday 07:00-15:00

Rate Of Pay: £13.23 per hour plus Sodexo benefits. 
 
About the Role

Asa Food Services Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the dailyoperations of our food service team. You will be responsible for ensuring thathigh standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer service are consistentlymaintained. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention todetail, and the ability to motivate and support your team to deliver anexcellent dining experience for all customers. If you are passionate about foodservice and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would like to hear from you.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present food to company standards.
  • Serve customers efficiently and with a friendly attitude.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all food service areas.
  • Operate tills and manage sales documentation.
  • Monitor wastage and consumption.
  • Conduct opening and closing audit checks.
  • Support budgeted gross profit within your area.
  • Ensure FSAs within your area follow their job descriptions.
  • Undertake cleaning of equipment, fixtures, and service areas as required.
  • Check deliveries and record food temperatures.
  • Fulfil reasonable management requests and attend job-related training.
  • Provide cover during holidays and sickness periods.


 What We’re Looking For

We are lookingfor a high-performing individual with strong customer service skills and acommitment to maintaining high standards. You should be proactive, able tobuild effective relationships, and demonstrate a helpful attitude at all times.

Essential:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Previous food handling experience.
  • Ability to adhere to health & safety practices.
  • High levels of personal hygiene and appearance.
  • Food Handler/Food Hygiene Training Level 3.

Desirable:

  • COSHH training.
  • First Aid certification.
