Job Introduction

We’re looking for a friendly and motivated Food Service Assistant to join our team at HMRC Cardiff, CF10 1EP. You’ll deliver great customer service by preparing and serving food and drinks to a high standard, supporting smooth service times, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, present, and serve food and beverages to company standards.

  • Support café and dining services, including replenishment and cleaning.

  • Maintain hygiene, safety, and food quality standards at all times.

  • Assist with stock control, deliveries, and waste reduction.

  • Operate the till, follow profit protection procedures, and handle cash responsibly.

  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.

  • Work flexibly to cover holidays or sickness as needed.

  • Provide excellent customer service and support colleagues where required.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential

  • Strong focus on customer service and teamwork.

  • Awareness of health, safety, and food hygiene standards.

  • Willingness to learn and follow procedures.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in catering, barista, or customer service roles (training provided).

  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
