Food Service Assistant

Job Introduction

As a Food Service Assistant / KP at Sodexo in Oasis Restore, Rochester, you'll have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to positively change the lives of disadvantaged children in custody or on remand. What you do:

• Serve food and drink to students, staff and guests as directed.
• Assist with food service and replenishment of food, beverages and equipment to support service times.
• Assist with the set-up, service, clearing and cleaning of function catering as requested.
• Promote a good company image to students and guests by using positive customer service practices.
• Set the example by being professional whilst maintaining and ensuring great team work and good ethics with your colleagues and Supervisors at all times
• Prepare all food with due care and attention, particularly in regard to customers special dietary requirements: for example; nut, dairy or wheat allergies.
• Ensure all products stored / displayed are date coded, Stock rotated & labelled correctly using the shelf life rule.
• Ensure all polices relating to deliveries & storage are adhered to in relation of health, food safety e.g. quality, quantity & Temperature.
• Undertake occasional duties outside the normal routine but within the scope of the position and the departments activities.

• Occasional Duties:
  • To assist as required at special functions some of which may occur outside of regular hours, for which you will be paid overtime
  • To report any complaints and take action where directed
  • To attend meetings and training courses as required.

Package Description

FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT / KP

• £12.00 per hour
• 35 hours per week
• Working pattern: working 5 days over 7 (no nights)
