You’ll have a flair for delicious beverages, assist with the preparation and serving of our vibrant cafe menu and ensure that all working areas are kept clean and tidy.

Role Responsibility

  • Assist as directed with all aspects of the preparation, presentation, service and cleanliness of the unit to the Company’s standards.
  • Comply with all Company and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness ,fire and COSHH.
  • Comply with all Food safety, allergen awareness and allergen safe working practices
  • Work to high standards of personnel performance, hygiene, appearance and cleanliness at all times
  • Communicate well and demonstrate a pleasant, polite, efficient caring and friendly service to customers in all areas of the catering department
  • Assist at times by serving customers at the counter and operating the till if required checking floats and cashing up at the end of service
  • Ensure tables and accompaniments are left clean and tidy and adequately stocked at all times during the duration of service times
  • Complete all necessary documentation for each service within the unit compliance standards
  • To undertake a stock take of all food commodities on a frequency as determined by the catering manager/supervisor
  • To ensure you receive coffee skills training and become competent on the service  machines on site and knowledgeable of the ingredients
  • To ensure adequate supplies are ordered on a daily/weekly basis within line with the needs of the business and reported to line managment
  •  Undertake all aspects of cleaning equipment up to 6ft),fixtures, as directed by Catering manager/supervisor
  • Undertake training and team meetings as required e.g. food hygiene health and safety
  • Report any customer complaints or compliments and take some remedial action if at all possible
  • Report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate.
  • To actively promote the vision of “improving the quality of Daily Life” for the Client and customers of the DVLA
  • Work as a team to promote harmonious working relationships within the Sodexo team
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed by management

  • Experience in a food service environment
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal

Package Description

  • How many Hours per week 37.5
  • Rate of pay £9.50 plus pension and meal allowance on duty
  • Monday - Friday 
  • Shift patterns 7 am to 3 pm
  • Full protective uniform supplied
