Job Introduction

We are looking for a Food Runner to help with serving food and beverages in a professional manner with high levels of customer service.

Role Responsibility

Dealing with customer complaints
Checking with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
Assisting customers with any queries they may have
Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods
Removing dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for cleaning
Serving food and/or beverages to patrons
Stocking service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, cutlery, and linens
Living the Virgin values in everyday activities and incorporating Sodexo Values in alignment with the clients
To assist Virgin and Sodexo Management with any reasonable request made while on duty

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in catering hospitality, fine dining or banqueting environment
Understanding of food hygiene and customer service
Excellent customer service skills
First class communication skills and to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
The ability to demonstrate great team work

Package Description

A fantastic full time vacancy has arisen for a front of house food runner to join our team at the Virgin Clubhouse lounge in London Heathrow delivering excellent food to Virgin's Upper Class Passengers. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Employment will be subject to the candidate obtaining an airside ID pass, therefore a full five year working history must be provided in order to obtain the necessary references. In addition, the successful completion of an online security training course and a basic criminal record check will be required.

The working hours for this position are 37.5 per week on a 4 on 2 off shift pattern in split shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays. Early shifts starting from 6am - 2.30pm, and late shifts from 1.30pm - 10:00pm. Regular overtime available and lots of employee benefits
