Food Production Operative

To provide this service we have a passionate catering team behind us, and we currently have a vacancy for a Food Production Operative to join our team at Tolworth Hospital.

You will be responsible for preparing, portioning, and serving food with care and attention. With a focus on preparing specialist diet meals ensuring they meet patients’ requirements, replenishing stock and ensuring work areas are glistening!

We are looking for someone with a passion for food and innovation, who is a great team player. Your communication skills need to be top notch, and your attention to detail second to none. Our patients are at the heart of what we do, so it’s important that fantastic customer service is always at the forefront.

Sodexo embeds a strong Safety culture in everything we do. There will be company procedures to follow and good knowledge of HACCP procedures and Food Hygiene Regulation is vital. 

As we are based on an NHS site, it will be mandatory for all new staff to evidence full COVID vaccination (before 01 April 2022) in line with Government requirements. Exemptions do apply.

Package Description

  • 32.5 hours per week 
  • The successful post holder will work a 5 day week, over 7 days.
  • Weekend enhancements are offered and rotas published in advance. 
  • Opportunity for progression within the team or external to the contract

Main responsibilities will be : 

  • Picking and packing food orders
  • Food preparation
  • Delivery receipt and distribution
  • Team work
  • Kitchen area and store cleaning
  • Serving in retail area
  • Dealing with suppliers
