Food Production Manager

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Food Production Manager to provide effective delivery of catering services to the client organisation, in line with service level agreements and agreed performance indicators. You will oversee delivery and development of the food offer and services, both in the restaurants and hospitality services supporting commercial initiatives, innovation, and team development.

Role Responsibility

  • To ensure the prompt and efficient preparation and service in all food areas to the company’s standard and to the client’s satisfaction.   
  • To ensure the site budget is met and exceeded and that all company audits & documentation are all trained to the required standard. 
  • Provide the most cost-effective catering service which offers the users quality and choice. 
  • Promote healthy eating, wellbeing, and employee satisfaction. 
  • Improve patronage and grow sales throughout the group.
  • Provide good capture of management information for the client to analyse. 
  • Promote sales growth through Company promotions, theme days and continually proposing indicatives that deliver best value to our clients and customers. 
  • Achieve all Company standard audits, Green Safeguard, Green HR audit, Consistency across the food service in standards, presentation, and quality. 
  • Achieve GOP, understand budget figures and be able to forecast accurately.  
  • P&L reports are completed within agreed timescales and show positive financial performance.
  • Direct reports are managed effectively. 
  • Achieving full compliance with recipe online and purchasing  
  • Positive customer and client feedback which will be measured during client reviews. 
  • Positive, developed team willing to go the extra mile to provide excellent service standards.  

 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy 
  • Previous catering experience 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and staff at all levels 
  • Good time management and organisational skills 
  • Ability to work well under pressure 
  • Ability to achieve and set standards and operate to performance criteria, about hygiene 
  • Positive approach to learning in role and identifying own training needs as appropriate 
  • Self-motivated  
  • Sense of own initiative  
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team   
  • Flexible approach to role 

Desirable 

  • Basic food hygiene certificate 
  • 706/2 or NVQ2 chef qualification, or equivalent  
  • Previous experience of catering management  
  • Experience of managing a team  
  • Experience of managing budgets  
  • Experience of delivering training using company guidelines  
  • Computer literacy including Excel Word PowerPoint / Window 10 / Outlook email system 
  • Good standard of financial acumen  
  • Ability to develop increasing individual effectiveness through leadership, motivation, communication, coaching and training 

The successful candidate will be required to undertaken a security clearance
