Sodexo Health and Care have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join our talented staff community. 

As Finance Manager for Hard Services (South) you will use your expertise to ensure accurate and efficient financial management for our region, overseeing key functions efficiently and accurately. Your role as a Finance Manager will be pivotal in maintaining the financial well-being of the Hard FM sites (South).

As an ambassador for Sodexo, you will nurture strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Partnering with site operators, you will oversee cost control, identify financial opportunities, and create robust budget and forecasting processes."

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and develop the regional Finance team to realise their full potential and provide robust financial support to the site operational team
  • Identification of process efficiencies and personal training needs
  • Support both the sites and divisional region with financial reporting
  • Control of the process for rechargeable works carried out with a view to recharge in a timely manner
  • Management of the WIP process, with support given to site operational teams to ensure all works are recharged in a timely manner
  • Ensure a working knowledge of what work is contractually rechargeable and provide challenge to managers ensuring revenues are maximised
  • Support the finance team to maintain an accurate ledger of maintenance contracts and proactively advise managers when they are due for renewal
  • Support the Head of Commercial Finance (South) with a robust process in place to facilitate the timely collection of debt
  • Ensure that SAP Workflows are regularly reviewed and kept to a minimum
  • To raise commercial and contract awareness across the site Sodexo management team to optimise financial performance within the contract framework, with support from the Head of Commercial Finance (South) where needed
  • Providing expert financial advice to operational management, driving financial performance through commercially sound analysis
  • Preparation of relevant, timely management information to equip the operators with the information required to make business decisions
  • Support the implementation and on-going delivery of Sodexo and Health & Care segment strategies as required, ensuring effective change management

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will be an experienced qualified or part-qualified accountant.   You will possess exceptional communication skills and the confidence to challenge when necessary. A strong sense of organization, time management, and the capacity to distil intricate financial information into easily understood concepts for non-finance colleagues is also vital. Knowledge of the facilities management industry is essential. Although there is no fixed address needed you will need to be based in the South of the UK as travel is needed.

You will also have:

  • The ability to retrieve large amounts of information form disparate sources and generate meaningful MI
  • The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Good Excel skill and knowledge of other Office applications (Word/PowerPoint)
  • The ability to develop team members effectiveness

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Agenda for Change pay and conditions
  • Experience of financial tools and systems (eg. SAP / Hyperion Essbase)
  • Knowledge of Hard FM environment and service delivery
