Finance Analyst

Job Introduction

We are looking for Finance Analyst who can manage own workload, be flexible, cope with demand and achieve deadlines. This is an extremely visible and high-profile client facing position providing strict adherence and governance whilst ensuring that client Milestones are met in good time in respect of quarterly forecasts, the budgeting process, actuals reporting and Annual PO Process. 

  • The role is to manage the financial responsibilities of the Sodexo NON IFM contract with our Client for the UK and provide support to additional regions (as advised).  
  • It is essential to develop a strong working relationship with the Key Stakeholders on the contract such as the Real Estate Finance team; Accounts payable: Operating Accounting team: Client Portfolio Manager as well as the Sodexo On-Site Managers and teams to ensure that key personnel are kept apprised of current and future challenges.   
  • Assist in the resolution of overdue debt issues with Credit Management Teams, Site Teams, and client teams, where required. 
  • Play an integral role during the Sodexo and Client month end process, ensuring relevant sources of information and system are utilised. 
  • Produce the monthly financial results for the Sodexo NON IFM contract for the Client  
  • Review and analyse site performance and provide meaningful commentary following our Client’s month end regarding variances to client budgets and forecasts 
  • To deliver services in line with the business ethos, delivering innovative solutions to the client’s expectations

Role Responsibility

  • Administrative tasks undertaken in an organised manner. 
  • Sync with the Clients Accenture Journal Team for monthly schedules 
  • Review P&L variance reporting, post relevant accruals and prepayments 
  • Ensuring financial reports are accurately reported and documents are compiled in the pre agreed format and all information contained within is both accurate and presentable. 
  • Attend the Monthly Review calls with the Client and provide variance analysis and prior post end ‘follow up’ as required  
  • Produce annual budget and periodic forecast information for the Client’s account. 
  • Raise relevant annual Client Purchase Orders to key suppliers  
  • Working collaboratively with the Clients Accenture Accounts payable to ensure any issues are effectively and efficiently dealt with. 
  • Monitor and process Exempt Vendor List (EVL) transactions 
  • Highlight any issues or risks which may impact the successful delivery of the contract 
  • Provide Business Partnering to the Portfolio Managers and Site and Regional Leads 
  • Produce ad-hoc reports for the Finance Manager and Finance Director 
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks carried out 
  • Effective working with the Portfolio Managers and Operational Leads 
  • Provision of financial support across the contract to achieve sales and GP targets 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential 

  • Educated to degree level and part qualified CIMA/ACCA 
  • Excellent Excel knowledge and proficient in Word and PowerPoint  
  • Previous experience in writing detailed reports and collating detailed accurate information accordingly 
  • Proven and successful Finance Department experience 
  • Excellent business partnering skills 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is fundamental 
  • Creative, solutions driven with a ‘can do’ attitude 
  • Knowledge of financial systems, including accounting systems and budgetary control 
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills  
  • Able to maintain complete confidentiality at all times 
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a large team. 
  • Organised and able to manage various projects simultaneously 
  • Highly self-motivated, ability to take ownership for several projects from beginning to end 
  • A structured but flexible manner of working with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload. 
  • Ability to remain calm and assertive under pressure 

Desirable 

  • Studying for Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)  
  • Previous experience of working Rent, Rates and Service Charge is desirable   
  • Previous experience of working within the facilities management sector is desirable but not essential
