Facilities Technician

Job Introduction

Are you looking to work as part of a well-established team? We are looking for a Facilities Service Technician (Handyman) at Ringaskiddy , Cork!

You`ll be responsible for general repairs/handyman duties within Sodexo Soft Service Department “Security/Cleaning/Catering” and logging all jobs on the facilities management database, raising work permits and managing building maintenance contractors! 

Dealing with the client, i.e. attending some informal meetings, answering phone requests and reverting with updates on job progress. 

Issue work permit to external service provider under the guidance of Soft Services Team Lead.

Responding to any other hoc duties. 

A few things about you:

• Experience of operating within a regulated environment.
• Experience with CMMS an advantage.
• Experience/Qualification in plumbing is desired.
• Proven track record in similar role, preferably with at least 2 years’ experience
• Good knowledge of a service industry and the importance of customer service
• Proven ability to organize tasks
• Ability to carry out duties efficiently
• A strong interest in practical, hands-on work with an ability to fix non-technical items
• Effective at team building and being able to work well within a team.
• Ability to be flexible as and when required, whether it be a work task or an approach to people. 
• Commitment to job in hand, colleagues and company.
• Extremely customer focused in all dealings with the client. 

Package Description

• Up to €45000 per annum 
• 39 hours week
• Bus link directly to the site
• Induction training provided
