Facilities Assistant

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

Accountabilities or “What you have to do”

  • Delivery of an exceptional level of customer service to our Clients at their European Headquarters
  • Working Monday to Friday from 08.00 - 17.00, 40 hours per week 
  • To be the first point of call for Workplace Services by responding to reactive cleaning / maintenance and porterage requirements as required, therefore you will be required to do ad hoc: painting / jet washing / unblocking toilets / meeting room set up.
  • Previous experience required in light maintenance tasks
  • To ensure that case requests for all issues such as IT / AV, cleaning / hearing / electrical / telephony are logged with Reception
  • To support the Post Room with deliveries / franking of post / delivering of post / around the site in a timely manner
  • To provide cover for Security / Reception  as required
  • To support as required with ad hoc cleaning 
  • To assist with Reception duties
  • Ensure customer satisfaction is established and maintained by providing an exceptional and pro-active service.
  • You will need to have a 'can-do' attitude with attention to detail.
  • Previous experience of working in a similar environment 
  • Ability to co-operate with others 
  • Good listening, the ability to prioritise tasks and interpersonal skills are essential.

  • Ideally IOSHH Managing Safely or Working Safely or CSCS card
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Willing to learn and take on a wide variety of tasks
  • Ability to respond quickly to problems
  • Great customer service skills
  • Ability to take instruction from both line manager and clients
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Good administration skills with an eye for detail
  • Team player mind-set and can do approach with willingness to ‘muck in’ when required
  • Basic awareness and understanding of health & safety in the workplace
