Facilities Assistant

Job Introduction

Purpose of the Job;

  • Transporting products/materials around site for Veranova shift managers
  • Sampling three times weekly the tanks, labelling then handing into 105 chemical analysts
  • Replenishing items requested by Veranova shift managers
  • Site requests - Bunds, vennels, fixed equipment, obscure area cleans
  • Small handyman jobs as instructed by Veranova shift managers
  • Ad hoc requests within production buildings by Veranova shift managers
  • Industrial floor cleaning in production areas

Main assignments:

  • To have regular contact with the Facilities Coordinator, GSM and Veranova shift managers
  • Attend to any reasonable requests made by the Veranova Manager.
  • Maintaining the production grounds areas
  • Transporting goods around site as requested
  • Escorting contractors around site for small works
  • Replenishing the main production stores
  • Site requests - Bunds, vennels, obscure areas cleaning, Plant, equipment
  • Small handyman repairs within capability
  • Various additional jobs within their capability as requested by Veranova
  • Industrial floor cleaning in production areas
  • To attend to and take all necessary action, statutory and otherwise in the event of accident, fire, loss, theft, lost property
  • To attend meetings and training courses as requested by Veranova and Sodexo.

What you bring:  

  • Excellent team ethos and superb communication skills    

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure    

  • Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus, but a can-do attitude and complete customer focus will tick the box   

  • Champion of health & safety practices     

  • Desire to grow and progress your career if you are interested

Package Description

  • Facilities Assistant 
  • 07:00 – 15:00 Monday to Friday
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • £11.92 per hour + Sodexo Benefits
