FM Category Manager

You'll oversee and optimise assigned categories, ensuring they align with our goals of efficiency, commercial competitiveness, and international expansion. Your key responsibilities will include crafting bespoke category management sourcing strategies for the UK & I region, and closely collaborating with global supply management teams to seamlessly integrate global categories.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and lead facilities management category sourcing strategies across the UK & I, ensuring technical and quality performance aligns with Sodexo’s service lines.
  • Collaborate with global supply management teams to implement facilities management global categories in the UK & I, focusing on efficiency and commercial competitiveness.
  • Manage assigned FM categories, driving international coverage and aligning acquisitions to leverage total group spend.
  • Challenge and enhance the current state of responsible sourcing within facilities management, steering Sodexo towards being market leaders in sustainability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within Supply Management and Service Operations platforms, focusing on FM goods and services procurement.
  • Ensure alignment of the sourcing strategies with the unique requirements and business needs of both the UK and ROI.
  • Oversee a project pipeline within the FM category areas, focusing on business needs and opportunity analysis.

 

What you bring:

  • Sodexo is particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following roles: Hard Services Specialist, Soft Services Specialist, or FM Product Specialist. A broad range of experience is welcome, and expertise in all categories is not required.
  •  process in the handling and maintenance of a diverse range of facilities management products and services.
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation and working in a multicultural, matrix environment. 
  • Skill in forecasting and strategy development, ensuring the FM category is ahead of trends, responsive to market changes, and aligned with organisational goals.
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively with manufacturers, securing advantageous terms and fostering strong, beneficial relationships in the FM sector.

Desirable

  • Proficient in managing, setting, and locking product catalogues, ensuring a streamlined, efficient, and secure
  • Extensive knowledge in a range of FM products including cleaning consumables, chemicals, food disposables, janitorial products, and MRO, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
