About the role 

At Sodexo, we are passionate about food and our restaurants are surrounded with the finest of aromas. From herbs and marinades, to freshly cracked pepper, your colleagues will love the taste!

To provide this excellent service, we have a team of fantastic F&B Lounge Host that help prepare and serve those vibrant, colourful and nutritious dishes. We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join our close-knit team at our newly renovated restaurant.

Being the first face many of our colleagues will see, you’ll be a role model when it comes to what great service will look like. You’ll assist with the preparation and serving of our enticing dishes, ensuring that all areas of the restaurant are kept hygienic and glistening.

A few things about you  

We want you to bring your great communication skills, strong teamwork ethos and your positive can-do attitude when you join us.

Your previous experience of food handling and your willingness to learn new skills will ensure you become a fantastic asset to our close-knit team!

Basic food hygiene and Health and Safety certificates would be great, but don’t worry if you don’t hold either as we’d still love to hear from you.

Role Responsibility

As a Lounge Host you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining counters and serving customers
  • Ensuring that areas of work and tables are kept to a high standard of cleanliness throughout the day
  • Assisting the bar attendant as required
  • Complying with all company and legal procedures relating to food safety, hygiene, health and safety and personal requirements
  • Carrying out training and reasonable requests as required by your line manager

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • Excellent customer service
  • Previous experience working in a hospitality role
  • The ability to prioritise and have an eye for detail
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal
  • The ability to demonstrate great team work
  • The ability to follow instructions

Package Description

Starting salary of £10.75 increasing to £10.75 following on from successful probation period of 12 weeks.

Working pattern is 4 days on & 2 days off. 

The role consists of serving food or drinks. Expectation all guests to have an amazing start to their journey and our customer-focused Hosts will ensure this happens every day.

  • Must be able to provide 5 years working histories and 5 years addresses.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant industry desired but not essential as on the job training available.
