We are currently looking to recruit an excellent and experienced Executive Chef to join our team on a prestigious FMCG client site in York. This is a really exciting opportunity; you will ooze passion to deliver exceptional customer service that builds valuable long-term relationships with colleagues, customers and clients. You’ll be an inspirational leader who loves getting the best from your team and supporting them to be the best they can be. This is a large multi outlet site where your focus will be to enhance the catering offer.
We are looking for Chefs who bring excitement, energy and passion to work every day and can get the best from their teams and deliver financial success.
You will join our dedicated catering team, who produce outstanding food using the finest and freshest ingredients in this highly innovative corporate environment. We put our dedication to fabulous food in the spotlight to showcase what our talented team can do!
The Ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar environment. This role is not purely culinary and offers a varied workload so you will be happy to organise, manage and develop all catering onsite.
Role Responsibility
What you’ll do:
- Deliver the food programmes appropriate for our client and in line with Sodexo brands
- Drive profitability for both Sodexo and our client through excellence in execution
- Project manage key projects across the contract working with the food platform team
- Lead or consult the recruitment process on catering positions
- Deliver on brand integrity within all Sodexo run outlets
- Develop and implementation of site business and training plan
- Strength in being an ambassador of customer service at the highest level; customer service excellence
- Maintain compliance with client and/or program contracts for all outlets

The Ideal Candidate
What you bring:
- Proven experience as executive chef or group head chef
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to manage teams of people
- Impeccable culinary skills
- Client customer communication skills, with the ability to develop long term relationships
- Passion for food and service delivery
- IT Skills
- P&L experience
- Strong financial awareness and understanding of budgets
Package Description
£38,000pa - £43,000pa dependent on exp + excellent benefits
Location: York
Permanent
Work Pattern – 40 hrs pw Monday to Friday with flexibility essential to meet business demands
