Event Sales Administrator

Job Introduction

Sodexo Live! have a fantastic opportunity for an Event Sales Administrator to join our awesome Sales & Events team based in Edinburgh. You will be selling the venues in our portfolio to agents, corporate clients and individuals for various event types such as corporate dinners, meetings, parties and weddings. This role offers a varied administrative workload which will include sending contracts and generating invoices, the team will have loads for you to help with!

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and drive; a great relationship builder and you will need a great phone manner too! An events background would be ideal! You will have a real interest in working within the events and hospitality sector.

Role Responsibility

  • Answer and respond to all enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Identify customer needs and provide solutions to match them
  • Prepare proposals and issue contracts and invoices for confirmed bookings
  • Handover of confirmed events to venue-based planners
  • Liaise with venue-based Planning Team to organize show rounds
  • Identify and refer new or existing business within the portfolio
  • Daily use of the CRM system as lead generation and task manager
  • Bid Tender Support for Business Development Team, including mystery shops, SWOT Analysis and other relevant research
  • Achieve personal KPI's as agreed with Line Manager
  • Post event follow up for repeat bookings

The Ideal Candidate

  • A track record in the Events industry with a particular emphasis on corporate and private events
  • An interest in Event Sales
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a variety of projects
  • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks
  • Computer literacy
  • Systems expert and Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • A good researcher, negotiator, and client focussed approach
  • Excellent business relationship building skills and understanding of customer needs
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills in order to prioritise various job demands

Package Description

To £23,000 + great benefits

Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid available with 3 days office based)

Permanent

Work Pattern – 40 hrs pw Monday to Friday with flexibility
