Hours: 30.75

Shiftpatterns: Evenings only 19:00-01:15

Rate of pay:£13.21

 

Aboutthe Role:

We are seekinga dedicated and customer-focused Evening Food Service Assistant to join our catering team at DPD, Hinkley. This role is essential in delivering high-qualityfood and beverage services to our clients and customers, ensuring a clean,hygienic, and welcoming environment.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food to company standards.
  • Provide efficient, friendly service across all catering areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in food service and preparation areas.
  • Serve customers at counters and operate tills during service periods.
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages to brand standards.
  • Monitor and record food temperatures and check deliveries.
  • Support special functions and provide cover during staff absences.
  • Report incidents, complaints, or irregularities promptly.
  • Attend training sessions and team meetings as required.

Essential:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • High standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
  • Ability to follow health and safety practices.
  • A proactive and high-performing attitude.

Desirable:

  • Experience with electronic point of sale systems.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Understanding of COSHH principles.
  • Previous experience in food handling and service.
