We currently have a number of opportunities available to join our Sodexo Healthcare team at Manchester University NHS Foundation trust as an Electrician. 

Using your trade skills you will provide installation, testing, examination and maintenance works across our sites. This is a great opportunity for a qualified electrician to join a world leading food and facilities management company

Role Responsibility

• Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance to all electrical systems where suitably trained within the establishment
• Maintain accurate records of all preventative maintenance and repair work carried out and report in detail any substandard or defective equipment
• Escort specialist contractors and work beside them as required
• Ensure Health and Safety policies are adhered to at all times
• Interpret and work from drawings, specifications and instructions as required
• Carry out, out of hours call out procedures on an “On Call” rota system and take appropriate action
• Work in accordance to Sodexo’s policies and procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

• Time served apprenticeship or other equivalent approved training
• Qualified to 17th Edition Electrical Regulations
• Experience of and proven ability in fault diagnosis and rectification on building electrical services, plant and control systems
• Basic understanding of mechanical and plumbing safety and maintenance
• Confident and logical under pressure but must understand urgency and respond accordingly.
• Required to be part of the ‘on call’ rota for breakdown callouts across the site that occur out of hours
