At Sodexo Health and Care, we’re proud to support some of the UK’s most vital environments, where safety, operational excellence, and teamwork directly impact lives. We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our Estates team at King’s College PFI Hospital. This is a dynamic, high-profile healthcare setting where your technical expertise and leadership will ensure smooth, safe, and compliant operations every day.
This is more than just a maintenance role: it’s your opportunity to make a measurable difference in the quality of care delivered to patients and to help drive innovation and best practice in building services across a complex and critical estate.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the operational management of all building and engineering services across the PFI hospital estate.
- Supervise in-house engineers and contractors, ensuring performance meets SLA, HTM, statutory, and compliance standards.
- Act as Authorised Person for key systems and oversee safe systems of work, including the Permit to Work scheme.
- Manage planned and reactive maintenance services, ensuring plant and equipment operate efficiently and safely.
- Support lifecycle works and project delivery in partnership with Sodexo project managers and SPV stakeholders.
- Contribute to the energy strategy and sustainability objectives of the estate.
- Deliver service excellence through robust technical leadership, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance.
- Act as the key estates point of contact for Trust and SPV representatives.
What You Bring:
Essential
- ONC/HNC or higher in a relevant building services discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, HVAC).
- Strong working knowledge of estates technical services within healthcare or critical environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing a team of engineers and sub-contractors in a facilities environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of HTMs, CDM regulations, water hygiene, and safety compliance.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to influence at all levels.
- IT literacy, ideally with experience using CAFM systems and performance reporting.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering safe, efficient, and customer-focused estates services.
Desirable:
- Degree or chartered status in an engineering discipline.
- CDM or IOSH/NEBOSH certification.
- Previous NHS/PFI experience.
- Competency in authorising LV/pressure/ventilation systems.
