Are you a skilled Electrical Engineer looking for a dynamic role within a world-class aerospace environment? Leonardo Helicopters in Yeovil is seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to support the ongoing operation and maintenance of our site facilities.
Working independently or as part of a team on a rotating shift pattern, you’ll play a key role in delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across the site. Your ability to respond to issues quickly and efficiently will help keep our buildings and infrastructure running smoothly, supporting the critical work we do.
What you’ll do:
Perform planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical and mechanical building services, including LV systems, lighting, heating, pumps, BMS, fire alarms, and HVAC equipment.
Ensure safe and reliable operation of all M&E systems and fabric equipment across the site, working as part of a core on-site shift team.
Comply with safety protocols, including Permit to Work systems, Risk Assessments, and Safe Systems of Work.
Utilise IT and CAFM systems to manage tasks, monitor performance, and support efficient maintenance operations.
Support energy-saving initiatives, performance reviews, and contractor oversight, promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What you'll bring:
Proven experience in electrical maintenance and repair, with at least 5 years fully qualified in the industry.
Relevant qualifications, including BTEC NC/ND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and 18th Edition certification.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels, including clients and management.
Good time management, teamwork, and IT literacy, with the ability to work well within a team and handle tasks efficiently.
Experience operating within regulated environments, demonstrating compliance and understanding of industry standards.
