Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Job Introduction
Are you a Skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician with a mechanical overview? Are you skilled in BMS and CAFM? If so, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your technical knowledge and further your career within a growing PPP / PFI contract at the new Grangegorman campus for TU Dublin.
You will operate across the contract with regard to planned and reactive maintenance in regards to general lighting, building controls, small power and distribution, BMS systems and other equipment found in modern commercial/industrial premises, ensuring high levels of compliance and health & safety. You will also be responsible for recommending and delivering product and processes to improve system performance, leading on electrical installations (LV).
This position will suit a multi-skilled professional who also has an overview of mechanical engineering and is a practical thinker with good attention to detail.
Please note, you will be required to undertake the role within a weekly rotating early/late shift system and be prepared to assume on call responsibilities.
Role Responsibility
- Carry out and oversee the day to day operation which includes planned maintenance, fault finding (including PAT testing) and repair, periodic inspections and testing of the complete spectrum of services found in a building services environment
- Undertake inspection and reactive activity wide range of Mechanical Building Services equipment including but not limited to heating boilers, pumps, compressed air systems, sanitary ware, fan coil and air handling units and BMS systems and other equipment found in modern commercial/industrial premises
- Ensure that corrective maintenance and reactive works are carried out within the priority timescales

The Ideal Candidate
- QQI or HND or NVQ or equivalent in the relevant subject (Electrical Trade Qualification)
- C&G 2382-18 (18th Edition BS7671:2018) ideally with C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent
- IOSH Qualification, CSCS Card and/or Safe Pass or equivalent
- Experience of working with a CAFM system
- Experience of working within a Building Maintenance organisation
- Ability to Multi-task across mechanical and building disciplines at a basic level
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Prioritise workload and working under own initiative with minimal supervision
- Must have a clean, full driving license
