Development Chef
Job Introduction
The successful candidate will have a passion for excellent food and service, have a strong understanding of food trends within the marketplace, along with the School Food Plan.
A focus on healthy eating and balanced diets is essential. The successful candidate must be financial acute with the ability to cost recipes, understand food costs and impact on labour.
The ideal person will have confidence when talking in large groups and be able to present themselves whilst representing the AiP - Alliance in Partnership brand.
Role Responsibility
Main duties include food development and concepts, creating menu recipes, implementing allergens process and training, producing food for sales presentations, support and assist with mobilisations of new sites, monitor and review skills and craft ability within the business and develop teams, accordingly, positively promote the AiP Group through active involvement during school events, competitions etc, and support and grow the chef’s forum to develop centre of excellence sites.
The Ideal Candidate
Must be qualified to City and Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, NVQ Level 3, Hygiene and Nutrition qualifications and have supervisory skills. Must be PC literate and hold a full clean driving licence and be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS and wider safeguarding checks.
Package Description
The Development Chef will report to Business Director, South.
The role will be required to visit school contracts within the Midlands, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and London areas as part of this role.
Hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 44 weeks per year (maybe some occasional evening and weekend work as and when required.)
