Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the onsite waste team, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols and environmental standards.
- Innovate and improve processes, systems, and people management within the waste management domain.
- Ensure rigorous recording and maintenance of waste removal in line with ISO 14001 and Sodexo standards.
- Support the development of business strategies to meet evolving client needs in waste management.
- Lead the team in maintaining a positive safety culture and adhering to Sodexo's safety standards.
- Manage training, performance, and development of the waste team in alignment with Sodexo's HR policies.
- Drive operational efficiency and profitability through effective team and resource management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in waste management within a busy factory or similar environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Competence in using computer systems for data and operational management.
- Understanding and experience in managing subcontractors and team operations.
- Innovative mindset with a focus on improving productivity and waste management performance.
- Forklift truck license is preferable.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
