Data Subject Request Specialist
Job Introduction
As a Data Subject Request Specialist you will act as the central point of liaison between our legal team, PeopleCentre ER team and the wider business in all aspects of data management, storage and processing. This role is key to ensuring a compliant data management process.
To be successful in this role you will enjoy a challenging and varied workload, supporting the business via the prompt delivery of logical, adaptable and compliance advice.

This will be a step up role for an internal candidate
The main base for this role is in Salford, Manchester, you will need to be able to travel to Salford when required.
Role Responsibility
To keep a record and monitor all requests and verify requests and identities of requestors.
To send out acknowledgement responses to the different Data Subject Requests within a timely manner
To liaise directly with the relevant segment/dimension, or directly access the IT system where data is held, to collate the personal data in question
Perform the action required for relevant personal data
- Liaise with the PeopleCentre ER team and/or Employment Lawyers on data subject requests which involve or look likely to involve grievances or employment claims

The Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Highly organised and responsive, with ability to work to SLAs and tight deadlines
- Experience of working with Data Subject Requests or Freedom of Information requests
- Experience of information or records management and using electronic information systems such as a corporate intranet or SharePoint.
- Attention to detail, particularly with applying redaction to documents, data entry expertise and an awareness of the legislative and regulatory frameworks for information and records governance
- Knowledge of the GDPR legislation
- Experience of handling Data Subject Requests process and
- Computer literate – Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Sound stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proven experience of managing multiple time critical requests
Desirable
- Understanding of actions necessary to ensure a smooth customer experience
- People management experience
