Customer Service Administrator

Job Introduction

As a Customer Service Administrator at HMNB Portsmouth, you will support HMNB helpdesk and respond to enquires, allocate sports & accommodation bookings and support general administration where required.

What you’ll do: 

  • Answer incoming calls to HMNB Portsmouth HelpDesk and respond promptly.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers
  • Assign all queries to appropriate manager through SMS system.
  • Assist in accommodation and sports bookings
  • Support with the cover of annual leave and/or sickness of staff within team.
  • Process all information with discretion and strict confidentiality in order to comply with data protection and other security requirements
  • Continue to develop one’s own skills and knowledge within the position, including any required training courses
  • Maintain excellent client/customer relationships
  • Attend team briefs, huddles and meetings as required
  • Attend your performance development review to discuss job standards and agree development activities
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times
  • Maintain high levels of personal hygiene and wear the appropriate uniform as required
  • Care for all available resources including equipment, materials and supplies as directed
  • Report any near miss occurrences, accidents or faulty equipment to management
  • Ensure effective communication with line manager, team, customer and client organisation
  • Maintain all areas of responsibility to the set service standards and in line with applicable service offer
  • To carry out any other reasonable tasks and/or instructions as directed by management

What you bring:  

  •  Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications

  • Strong organisation and time management skills

  •  Able to build relationships at all levels within the organisation and externally with sub contractors and the client

  • 22 hours per week
  • Wednesday to Friday
    • Wednesday & Thursday 08:30-16:30 /  Friday 07:30-15:00 
  • £13.52 per hour
