Salary: £13.50  per hour
Hours: 27.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, (9:00am - 14:30pm)

We’re looking for a dedicated, experienced, and motivated Catering Supervisor to join our pioneering team at Kingfisher CE Academy School. In this role, you’ll be more than just a supervisor – you’ll play an essential part in shaping a positive future for young people.

What You’ll Do:

  • Contribute to the strategic management and business development of the food services provision in the prison

  • Monitor and maintain the highest health, safety, and hygiene standards

  • Lead, develop, and supervise the Catering Team

  • Support in preparing menus alongside qualified dieticians to ensure compliance with nutritional standards

  • Cater for all dietary, ethnic, and cultural needs of prisoners and staff

  • Maintain accurate records on the receipt, storage, and distribution of food

  • Ensure all food is prepared and served to the highest standard

  • Provide leadership, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management

What You Bring:

Essential:

  • Experience managing a catering department with a proven ability to implement new ideas

  • Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate

  • D32 or equivalent training qualification

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team

  • Experience with purchasing, stock control, and menu planning

  • Strong communication, organization, time-management, and people skills

  • The ability to challenge inappropriate or negative behavior

  • Required to complete DBSRTW & Safer Recruitment checks

Desirable:

  • Experience in a custodial or secure environment

  • Assessor qualification (or equivalent) with experience delivering catering qualifications
