Contracts and Compliance Manager

A rare opportunity for an exceptional Contracts & Compliance Manager to join Sodexo and support the University of Greenwich.

You will assist the management team in mitigating risk by understanding and supporting the delivery of contractual obligations including, but not limited to, service specifications, performance standards and legislation.

You will actively communicate with and build relationships with the client, colleagues and team members so as to develop a mutual respect on service delivery and matters within our agreements.

Role Responsibility

  • Carry out a programme of internal auditing to monitor compliance with all contractual & statutory obligations, and local operating procedures.
  • Liaise with the Service Delivery Managers on a daily business ensuring key performance indicators are met and performance monitoring schedules are adhered to.
  • Analyse and interpret relevant data and take the lead in producing monthly reports to meet contractual requirements
  • Responsible for the Grounds (Landscaping) and Hard FM teams across all University locations, ensuring that they are working safely and adhering to Company and legislative requirements.
  • Manage sub-contractor relationships and performance contract wide
  • Manage the on-site activity of the nominated sub-contractor; ensure PPM’s and all other planned works are delivered in accordance with agreement and that reactive call outs to attend or provide additional services are in accordance with the agreements in place
  • Liaise with the Sodexo management team at the University of Greenwich in the production of reports
  • Produce regular reports (daily, weekly and monthly) for contract teams and the client as required ensuring these are accurate prior to submission
  • Work closely with the Sodexo senior management team to develop and enhance the quality of reporting as required to meet business needs and contractual processes
  • Working with management team to ensure all compliance (weekly, monthly, quarterly etc) audits and services are evidenced and provided by the contract teams in a timely fashion
  • Lead the contract team in the analysis of supplier performance
  • Update and maintain contractual documentation and site records as required including site files and CAFM systems with Sodexo managed and Subcontractors for arranged services and PPMs
  • Support the Head of Commercial and Finance in day-to-day contract & supplier administration
  • Support the Head of Technical Services with staff training, recruitment and compliance of the teams and their performance
  • This list is not exhaustive, and the post holder will be expected to carry out other reasonable duties from time to time as requested by management

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate must possess the following skills;

  • Technical expertise and knowledge
  • Experience in the use of CAFM systems to upload, extract, manipulate, report and present data
  • Supplier and Contract auditing experience – “what does good look like?”
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and professional
  • An understanding of FM contracts (ideally NEC 3 or 4)
  • An understanding of SFG-20 and legislative requirements
  • Knowledge of Water Safety and Responsibilities
  • Commercial awareness
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Man Management skills
  • H&S experience and understanding

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience of working in a similar environment
  • Horticultural Services Experience
  • Gap Analysis

Package Description

£50,000 to £52,000 + Excellent benefits package
