Contract, Performance & Assurance Manager

Job Introduction

HMP Peterborough have an exciting opportunity for a Contract, Performance & Assurance Manager to join our team!

As a Contract, Performance & Assurance Manager you will monitor compliance against the contract and performance against Schedule F targets therein, monitor the overall performance of the prison and monitor general operational compliance through the management of action plans. 

HMP/YOI Peterborough is the country’s only purpose-built prison for both male and female prisoners (kept separate at all times), including a 12-place mother and baby unit. We are committed to offering education and development programmes to provide prisoners with the skills required to enter employment on release, so reducing the chances of further offending. Providing creative outlets, such as workshop activities, helps to equip those in custody for when they are released.

We use ‘Restorative Approaches’ to bring people in conflict into dialogue. Using a skilled and structured process, those who have been harmed have an opportunity to be heard and those that have caused the harm are held to account for what they have done. We have strong links with the community outside through a variety of partnerships, including our outreach activity Outside Links’ offering support and advice to both prisoners and their families.

Role Responsibility

• Collation of all Schedule F data, including information relating to the Prison Performance Tool, and information relating to the anticipated application of quarterly and annual performance points. Early intervention in departments where there are indications of sub-standard performance against contractual targets.
• Coordination of the establishment’s self-audit programme
• Collate all information relating to performance against action plans, and arrange for checks against the compliance tool as per specified timescales
• Regular scheduled meetings with the Controller to discuss the application of contractual measures
• Monthly Assurance meeting with the Director

Package Description

Competitive salary of £38,500 - £41,400 per annum (depending on experience) plus excellent benefits including free meals, free parking, use of on-site gym and fitness classes, group discount schemes, life assurance and pension and much more!
