Continuous Improvement Project Manager (Black belt)

Sodexo have a fantastic opportunity for a Six Sigma Practitioner to join our team. This position is UK home based with regular travel to sites to connect with colleagues. 

As a Black Belt practitioner reporting to our Service Director, you will be responsible for driving change via continuous improvement, working closely with our executive team offering recommendations and gaining 'buy in' support. 

The ideal candidate will be a proficient Black Belt Six Sigma Practitioner with relevant six sigma qualifications, proven experience project managing change works through business and working with executive teams. You should also be an excellent communicator with fantastic people skills

Role Responsibility

  • Delivering continuous improvement support across the segment, by working with central platforms to establish and identify the segment / contract needs. 
  • Driving and developing our CI strategy supporting both central platforms and change agents in segment
  • Leading on change across segment equipping our colleagues with the tools and competences to deliver, implement and embed both new and unestablished processes. 
  • Providing timely reporting to board members across multiple projects, demonstrating progress, ensuring deliverables are inline with agreed objectives and expectations
  • Supporting and coaching colleagues across the segment in progressing improvement plans/corrective actions in respect of improvements identified and the escalation process as required
  • Expert for the segment professional family community; providing guidance and coaching professional leads to achieve results and deliver on expectations
  • Understand critical root cause analysis to drive change in our contracts, support contract teams to improve on existing and new processes
  • This role will be instrumental in the processes and governance to align with the end-to-end planning and delivery process for all initiatives, projects and organisational change from initial feasibility through to financial approval, design, delivery and completion, in collaboration with central platforms to ensure all activity is delivered on budget, on programme and to a high standard.
  • Required to work closely and collaboratively with the Segment Executive Board, Regional SO and Transversal functions and ensure alignment between Segment Portfolio Planning and Programme Management Functions and external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to deliver successful project outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven track record of delivering strategic change and improvement programmes to achieve principal objectives, within budget/business parameters and in accordance with Industry best practice (Six Sigma methodologies)
  • Significant experience successfully project and programme managing projects and strategic change 
  • Demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and rapport within the business and anchor these to ensure right person, right time is engaged.
  • Good influential skills with the ability to demonstrate, communicate and explain best practises and their benefits to all levels of stakeholders 
  • Proven ability to develop segment strategies and translate into tangible programmes of work at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills to varying levels of personnel both oral and written
  • Proven understanding and management of business organisation structures associated with successful delivery of change
  • Ability to drive and lead the delivery of strategic change/project across a senior stakeholder group (Segment CEO, Exec and Contract Directors, Service Operations and Transversal Functions)
  • Ability to lead, manage, motivate and empower others in pursuit and achievement of common goals
  • Operate flexibility in response to new demands, apply transferable skills within a diverse context and where necessary operate outside of professional boundaries
  • Demonstrable ability to operate with high thinking capacity and willingness and enthusiasm to challenge existing arrangements and methods
  • Successfully communicate and present with senior executives to gain commitment of Business Improvement, transformational activity, programmes and projects
  • Successfully identify and manage senior stakeholders internally and externally including consultants and supply partners
  • Ability to operate and deliver within a changing business and market environment – demonstrate resilience at times of high pressure
  • Facilitation skills – ability to successfully facilitate a varying degree of workshops (typically with senior executive resource) to achieve specific outcomes and drive commitment, advocacy and delivery
  • Able to demonstrate empathy and the integrity to deal with sensitive and personal information during times of change and business improvement
