Department: Catering & Hospitality
Reports To: Head Chef / Sous Chef
Job Type: Part-Time / Casual / Event-Based
Pay Rate: £13.85 per hour


Job Overview:

As a C&E Kitchen Porter (KP) at Fulham Pier, you will play a key role in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen during conferences, events, and matchdays. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in supporting a professional culinary team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all kitchen and food preparation areas.

  • Operate dishwashing machines for crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment.

  • Hand-wash larger pots, pans, and utensils as needed.

  • Clean kitchen floors, walls, and surfaces in line with food safety guidelines.

  • Manage waste disposal and ensure bins are emptied and cleaned regularly.

  • Assist chefs with basic food prep tasks when required.

  • Receive, unpack, and correctly store deliveries.

  • Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to your supervisor promptly.

  • Follow all venue hygiene, health & safety protocols at all times.


Skills & Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a kitchen porter or in hospitality is desirable but not essential.

  • Knowledge of food hygiene practices (training provided).

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team.

  • Physically capable of manual work and standing for extended periods.

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and matchdays.

  • Punctual, reliable, and committed to supporting the wider kitchen team.
