Job Overview:
As a C&E Kitchen Porter (KP) at Fulham Pier, you will play a key role in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen during conferences, events, and matchdays. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in supporting a professional culinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all kitchen and food preparation areas.
Operate dishwashing machines for crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment.
Hand-wash larger pots, pans, and utensils as needed.
Clean kitchen floors, walls, and surfaces in line with food safety guidelines.
Manage waste disposal and ensure bins are emptied and cleaned regularly.
Assist chefs with basic food prep tasks when required.
Receive, unpack, and correctly store deliveries.
Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to your supervisor promptly.
Follow all venue hygiene, health & safety protocols at all times.
Skills & Requirements:
Prior experience as a kitchen porter or in hospitality is desirable but not essential.
Knowledge of food hygiene practices (training provided).
Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team.
Physically capable of manual work and standing for extended periods.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and matchdays.
Punctual, reliable, and committed to supporting the wider kitchen team.
