Commercial Finance Modeller - FTC

An excellent opportunity to showcase your technical skill set (ACA qualified with relevant PQ experience), you’ll support the Finance Business Development Manager and Finance Director in this highly commercial role which requires excellent modelling skills alongside proven influencing capability.

Circa £135m turnover, well established and highly regarded business service with core client, Ministry of Justice. Growth this year of 25% revenue through acquisition of major contract. Further growth aspirations being pursued.
Role Responsibility
- Provide modelling expertise to support change plans, comparison and evaluation of alternatives and develop robust complex scenario analyses.
- Constructively challenge and support the development of efficient and cost effective labour structures and operational transition plans for delivery.
- Engage with key stakeholders and act as the conduit to ensure the change plan meets current and future business requirements.
- Identify and quantify and summarise measures and benefits of target operating models, and transition costs from current to desired operating structures.
- Successfully lead virtual programme and project teams (sometimes over multiple sites).
- Review and challenge alternatives, through detailed volume and activity scenario modeling, comparing to existing structures and bid models.
- Due diligence on existing cost data and transition costs to desired operating models.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified accountant with comprehensive PQE experience to include different finance roles
- Excellent advanced commercial and modelling experience - this could be project / bid / financial transaction related
- Must be able to demonstrate that you have interacted with others to successfully influence, and choices you personally recommended were acted upon to reach optimal commercial outcomes.
- Exceptional commercial acumen including problem solving in complex situations.
- Must also be able to demonstrate strong analytical and modelling capability.
- Advanced MS Excel
Desirable
- BSC Graduate - ideally mathematics, science or engineering
