Door Technician

About the role

Are you the go-to person...the one who answers the questions, with the know of how to keep the facilities running like clockwork? We are looking to recruit a Door Technician to support the operation and maintenance of all airlocks, roller doors, dock levellers, auto doors and such within the Grange Castle site.

You’ll be responsible for delivering a high-quality professional service, undertaking maintenance and reactive activity to a wide range of Kahn Bahn door spares (and place orders were necessary) along with complete risk assessments for maintenance tasks and working safely.

You'll be asked to carry out specialist technical and non-technical work as deemed appropriate to the continuing maintenance function of plant/building doors and their associated properties and to assist if required the Facilities Maintenance team over the full range of their duties.

A few things about you 

We want you to bring your great communication skills, fantastic team spirit and your can- do attitude with you when you join us. Being be able to work unsupervised and be able to prioritise work tasks whilst remaining calm under pressure is also a must.

It would be great if you had:

  • Qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • More than three years’ experience in similar function/role
  • Experience preferably in a multinational corporate GMP environment
  • Experience of working with roller doors
  • Cleanroom experience advantageous but not essential

As Sodexo embeds a strong Safety culture in everything we do, there’ll be procedures, site specific guidelines / requirements and regulations to follow such so it is vital that you have a good understand of Health and Safety at Work regulations and previous experience adhering to set engineering standards.
