Cluster Security Manager - 6 months FTC

Job Introduction

We are looking for a highly experienced Security Manager to join our team, managing a cluster of 3 Top-tier Comah sites with a 24/7 security operation in a mixture of office and manufacturing environments. All sites are in a near proximity of each other.

You should be highly experienced in all aspects of security management and have exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills. Good financial sense and excellent working knowledge of Health & Safety is a must.

This role is a 6 months Fixed Term Contract with a possibility to be extended in the future, offering a salary of up to £31,500, Sodexo employee benefits, access to a staff shop and a gym on site.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Successfully improve and maintain performance in Security services across 3 sites, whilst reducing service costs, to achieve budget / forecast.
  • Management of security equipment capabilities (ie alarms, access control, CCTV etc) ensuring existing equipment is maintained to the highest standards and future innovations are researched and included in ongoing business cases.
  • Ensure exploitation of all income opportunities within existing client portfolio and prospective organic growth
  • Drive excellence in operational delivery to maximise operational excellence
  • Develop a competent team to deliver consistent service delivery ensuring effective leadership of all activity
  • Ensure achievement against all contractual service level agreements and key performance indicators
  • Development of policy, strategy and procedures for Security delivery
  • Establish industry and in-company networks to ensure continuous improvement and to provide insight through the effective use of market data and operational delivery techniques
  • Manage relationships and key interfaces with the client and the clients' key decision makers
  • Adherence to general standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements
  • Have responsibility for all Security related Health and Safety matters ensuring compliance with Sodexo and client procedures
  • Liaison with various external agencies (ie Police, Fire Brigade etc)
  • Preparation and continuous control of departmental budgets and preparation of reporting requirements
  • Writing processes, procedures, guidelines & audit process departmental activities
  • Management of all recruitment, selection and training, performance management, including personnel development reviews.
  • Leading the operations to ensure all site occupants, visitors and guests receive the highest level of 5 star services in a pleasant clean and safe environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a high-profile Security environment
  • Proven track record of leading and managing Security Services in both Office and Factory environments
  • Proven track record of initiating and leading demanding business change programmes
  • Exceptional client and customer relationship management skills
  • Budget Management
  • Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills
  • Excellent health and safety knowledge and experience. IOSH desirable.
  • Proven background in multi skilled Security disciplines, reception, switchboard experience desirable.
  • SIA Front line licenced
  • IOSH OR NEBOSH qualifications desirable
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Security IT system knowledge and experience
  • Ability to set up and write new processes and procedures
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Previous experience in managing across multi sites desirable.
