As a Cleaning Manager for Sodexo in Tooting London, you are a natural leader and a champion of excellence. Your role is vital to the success of our operations, as you take on day-to-day responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of our domestic services across the Springfield University and Tolworth Hospitals together with satellite Health Clinic sites.

Springfield University Hospital is a psychiatric hospital in Tooting, South London. This is a busy hospital environment open every day 365 days per year. Main Responsibilities

What you'll do:

The management and control of the soft service operation (cleaning & patient feeding on wards)
To provide leadership, role modelling and direction to the delivery
To transform the catering operation and drive a patient and service focussed offer reflecting quality.
To be accountable for excellent service delivery and operational objectives ensuring continuous improvements are made.
Ensure standards of service as agreed with the Business Director and detailed in the service level agreement are achieved and maintained for assigned operational business area.
Ensure operational excellence within your area of responsibility for labour management and staff performance.
To drive compliance and service delivery in respect of H&S, Hygiene and Cleaning standards in line with client and Sodexo expectations
Active involvement, promotion and support of activities aligned towards staff engagement.
To manage the training, performance and development of the Sodexo team including a team of 6 Supervisors

The Ideal Candidate

What you bring

Experience of working in a management role within the FM sector, preferably in a Healthcare environment.
Previous cleaning experience with thorough knowledge of machinery and cleaning processes
Proven team leadership skills and experience of managing both labour and materials budgets.
Able to demonstrate good IT Skills with a working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Good numerical, spoken and written communication skills
Auditing experience – ideally with Service Track / Audem or similar system
Good understanding of food safety
Strong H&S Knowledge, COSHH understanding and experience – IOSH or similar required.
