Chef
Job Introduction
Heritage Portfolio are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef to join our culinary team at our Central Production Kitchen in Leith, Edinburgh. Under the guidance of our Head Chef, this role requires the candidate to assist with the production of all food for daily service as well as supporting menu preparation and delivery of our in-house events. All our food is prepared on site and made from scratch, focusing on seasonal and locally sourced produce.
Working hours are 8am - 5pm for prep shifts and between 8am - 10pm for events
Role Responsibility
- To support the Head Chef to deliver the culinary and food safety elements of the business, chef briefings, food safety compliance and operational standards and event delivery
- To be highly organised in kitchen management on a day to day basis.
- To demonstrate a knowledge of current food trends and have the ability to bring innovation into the food offers in the event business.

- Have a hard working and reliable attitude
- Good kitchen practice and creative flair with knowledge of food preparation and ingredients
- Be flexible in order to meet company demands
- Previous experience of high-volume catering
- Be at home in a fast paced, busy kitchen
- Excellent levels of kitchen hygiene
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task
- Good understanding of English, both written and orally
