Job Introduction

As a Chef with Sodexo, you play a vital role in our culinary team, ensuring the preparation of high-quality foods in line with Sodexo standards. Reporting to the Chef Manager, this position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced chef to contribute to our dynamic and innovative food services.

What you’ll do:
  • Prepare all foods as requested by the Chef Manager and in line with Sodexo standards.
  • Assist in the compiling of menus, including salads as required.
  • Help control stock and waste, ensuring deliveries are properly checked and stored.
  • Monitor and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
  • Adhere to cleanliness rules and routines to prevent food spoilage and waste.
  • Comply with current up-to-date health & safety, HACCP, hygiene, fire, and security regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Carry out any other duties as requested by the Chef Manager.
Skills:
  • Experience is essential for this role.
  • Third-level qualification (HACCP/Culinary Arts/Professional Cookery).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and the ability to innovate.
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills.
  • Willingness to take instruction and collaborate as a team player.
  • Extensive knowledge about food.
  • Organised and comfortable working under pressure.
